2025-06-02	completion: make sed command that generates config-list.h portable.	Collin Funk	1	-1/+2
	The OpenBSD 'sed' command does not support '\n' to represent newlines in sed expressions. This leads to the follow compiler error: In file included from builtin/help.c:15: ./config-list.h:282:18: error: use of undeclared identifier 'n' "gitcvs.dbUser",n "gitcvs.dbPass", ^ 1 error generated. gmake: *** [Makefile:2821: builtin/help.o] Error 1 We can fix this by documenting related configuration variables one-per-line instead of listing them separated by commas. This allows us to remove the unportable part of the sed expression in generate-configlist.sh. 2025-01-21	doc: use .adoc extension for AsciiDoc files	brian m. carlson	1	-0/+67
	We presently use the ".txt" extension for our AsciiDoc files. While not wrong, most editors do not associate this extension with AsciiDoc, meaning that contributors don't get automatic editor functionality that could be useful, such as syntax highlighting and prose linting. It is much more common to use the ".adoc" extension for AsciiDoc files, since this helps editors automatically detect files and also allows various forges to provide rich (HTML-like) rendering. Let's do that here, renaming all of the files and updating the includes where relevant. Adjust the various build scripts and makefiles to use the new extension as well.
