Merge branch 'ps/odb-generalize-prepare'
The 'reprepare()' callback for object database sources has been
generalized into a 'prepare()' callback with an optional flush cache
flag, and a new 'odb_prepare()' wrapper has been introduced to allow
pre-opening object database sources.
