There are a couple of users that open code functionality of matching
a given handle against ACPI video device IDs. The current approach
duplicates ID table along with the matching code. Consolidate it
under the acpi_dev_is_video_device() helper's hood.

Add a "strict" argument to acpi_processor_extract_lpi_info() that, when

wake latency instead of assuming 10 us values for these parameters.

In preparation for adding ACPI _LPI support to the intel_idle driver,
move acpi_processor_extract_lpi_info() along with some static functions
used by it to the acpi_processor.c file containing the non-modular part
of the ACPI processor driver, so it can be called by external non-modular
code like intel_idle.
However, export it to modules in the ACPI_PROCESSOR_IDLE import
namespace so that the modular part of the ACPI processor driver
can still invoke it.

RISC-V implements arch code to detect probe dependencies for devices and
the interrupt controller the devices GSIs are routed to.
The code itself is arch agnostic apart from an arch specific helper
function required to retrieve the acpi_handle of the interrupt controller
that manages the device GSI interrupt.
In order to enable IRQ probe dependencies detection on other architectures,
move RISC-V IRQ probe dependency detection code to generic ACPI IRQ code.
Allow interrupt controller drivers to register an arch specific function to
determine the acpi_handle for a specific GSI number to use the mechanism if
needed by the respective interrupt controller drivers.

<linux/mod_devicetable.h> is included in a many files:
$ git grep '<linux/mod_devicetable.h>' ef0c9f75a195 | wc -l

; some of them are widely used headers. To stop mixing up different and
unrelated driver( type)s let the subsystem headers only use the subset
of the recently split <linux/mod_devicetable.h> that are relevant for
them.
The fallout (I hope) is addressed in the previous commits that handle
sources relying on e.g. <linux/i2c.h> pulling in the full legacy header

Modify the rtc-cmos driver to bind to a platform device on systems with
ACPI via acpi_match_table and advertise the CMOST RTC ACPI device IDs
for driver auto-loading. Note that adding the requisite device IDs to
it and exposing them via MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() is sufficient for this
purpose.
Since the ACPI device IDs in question are the same as for the CMOS RTC
ACPI scan handler, put them into a common header file and use the
definition from there in both places.
Additionally, to prevent a PNP device from being created for the CMOS
RTC if a platform one is present already, make is_cmos_rtc_device()
check cmos_rtc_platform_device_present introduced previously.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

On ARM64 ACPI systems GICv5 IRSes are described in MADT sub-entries.
Add the required plumbing to parse MADT IRS firmware table entries and
probe the IRS components in ACPI.
Augment the irqdomain_ops.translate() for PPI and SPI IRQs in order to
provide support for their ACPI based firmware translation.
Implement an irqchip ACPI based callback to initialize the global GSI
domain upon an MADT IRS detection.
The IRQCHIP_ACPI_DECLARE() entry in the top level GICv5 driver is only used
to trigger the IRS probing (ie the global GSI domain is initialized once on
the first call on multi-IRS systems); IRS probing takes place by calling
acpi_table_parse_madt() in the IRS sub-driver, that probes all IRSes
in sequence.
Add a new ACPI interrupt model so that it can be detected at runtime and
distinguished from previous GIC architecture models.

Pull arm64 updates from Catalin Marinas:
"These are the arm64 updates for 6.19.
The biggest part is the Arm MPAM driver under drivers/resctrl/.
There's a patch touching mm/ to handle spurious faults for huge pmd
(similar to the pte version). The corresponding arm64 part allows us
to avoid the TLB maintenance if a (huge) page is reused after a write
fault. There's EFI refactoring to allow runtime services with
preemption enabled and the rest is the usual perf/PMU updates and
several cleanups/typos.
Summary:
Core features:
- Basic Arm MPAM (Memory system resource Partitioning And Monitoring)
driver under drivers/resctrl/ which makes use of the fs/rectrl/ API
Perf and PMU:
- Avoid cycle counter on multi-threaded CPUs
- Extend CSPMU device probing and add additional filtering support
for NVIDIA implementations
- Add support for the PMUs on the NoC S3 interconnect
- Add additional compatible strings for new Cortex and C1 CPUs
- Add support for data source filtering to the SPE driver
- Add support for i.MX8QM and "DB" PMU in the imx PMU driver
Memory managemennt:
- Avoid broadcast TLBI if page reused in write fault
- Elide TLB invalidation if the old PTE was not valid
- Drop redundant cpu_set_*_tcr_t0sz() macros
- Propagate pgtable_alloc() errors outside of __create_pgd_mapping()
- Propagate return value from __change_memory_common()
ACPI and EFI:
- Call EFI runtime services without disabling preemption
- Remove unused ACPI function
Miscellaneous:
- ptrace support to disable streaming on SME-only systems
- Improve sysreg generation to include a 'Prefix' descriptor
- Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__
- Align register dumps in the kselftest zt-test
- Remove some no longer used macros/functions

Merge an ACPICA change, device ACPI properties handling update, ACPI
power management updates, and an ACPI battery driver update for
6.19-rc1:
- Avoid walking the ACPI namespace in the AML interpreter if the
starting node cannot be determined (Cryolitia PukNgae)
- Use min() instead of min_t() in the ACPI device properties handling
code to avoid discarding significant bits (David Laight)
- Fix potential fwnode refcount leak in acpi_fwnode_graph_parse_endpoint()
that may prevent the parent fwnode from being released (Haotian Zhang)
- Rework acpi_graph_get_next_endpoint() to use ACPI functions only, remove
unnecessary contitionals from it to make it easier to follow, and make
acpi_get_next_subnode() static (Sakari Ailus)
- Drop unused function acpi_get_lps0_constraint(), make some Low-Power
S0 callback functions for suspend-to-idle static, and rearrange the
code retrieving Low-Power S0 constraits so it only runs when the
constraits are actually used (Rafael Wysocki)
- Drop redundant locking from the ACPI battery driver (Rafael Wysocki)

MPAM identifies CPUs by the cache_id in the PPTT cache structure.
The driver needs to know which CPUs are associated with the cache.
The CPUs may not all be online, so cacheinfo does not have the
information.

The MPAM table identifies caches by id. The MPAM driver also wants to know
the cache level to determine if the platform is of the shape that can be
managed via resctrl. Cacheinfo has this information, but only for CPUs that
are online.
Waiting for all CPUs to come online is a problem for platforms where
CPUs are brought online late by user-space.
Add a helper that walks every possible cache, until it finds the one
identified by cache-id, then return the level.

The ACPI MPAM table uses the UID of a processor container specified in
the PPTT to indicate the subset of CPUs and cache topology that can
access each MPAM System Component (MSC).
This information is not directly useful to the kernel. The equivalent
cpumask is needed instead.
Add a helper to find the processor container by its id, then walk
the possible CPUs to fill a cpumask with the CPUs that have this
processor container as a parent.

Pull arm64 updates from Catalin Marinas:
"A quick summary: perf support for Branch Record Buffer Extensions
(BRBE), typical PMU hardware updates, small additions to MTE for
store-only tag checking and exposing non-address bits to signal
handlers, HAVE_LIVEPATCH enabled on arm64, VMAP_STACK forced on.
There is also a TLBI optimisation on hardware that does not require
break-before-make when changing the user PTEs between contiguous and
non-contiguous.
More details:
Perf and PMU updates:
- Add support for new (v3) Hisilicon SLLC and DDRC PMUs
- Add support for Arm-NI PMU integrations that share interrupts
between clock domains within a given instance
- Allow SPE to be configured with a lower sample period than the
minimum recommendation advertised by PMSIDR_EL1.Interval
- Add suppport for Arm's "Branch Record Buffer Extension" (BRBE)
- Adjust the perf watchdog period according to cpu frequency changes
- Minor driver fixes and cleanups
Hardware features:
- Support for MTE store-only checking (FEAT_MTE_STORE_ONLY)
- Support for reporting the non-address bits during a synchronous MTE
tag check fault (FEAT_MTE_TAGGED_FAR)
- Optimise the TLBI when folding/unfolding contiguous PTEs on
hardware with FEAT_BBM (break-before-make) level 2 and no TLB
conflict aborts
Software features:
- Enable HAVE_LIVEPATCH after implementing arch_stack_walk_reliable()
and using the text-poke API for late module relocations
- Force VMAP_STACK always on and change arm64_efi_rt_init() to use
arch_alloc_vmap_stack() in order to avoid KASAN false positives
ACPI:
- Improve SPCR handling and messaging on systems lacking an SPCR
table
Debug:
- Simplify the debug exception entry path
- Drop redundant DBG_MDSCR_* macros
Kselftests:
- Cleanups and improvements for SME, SVE and FPSIMD tests
Miscellaneous:
- Optimise loop to reduce redundant operations in contpte_ptep_get()
- Remove ISB when resetting POR_EL0 during signal handling
- Mark the kernel as tainted on SEA and SError panic
- Remove redundant gcs_free() call"

GCC appears to have kind of fragile inlining heuristics, in the
sense that it can change whether or not it inlines something based on
optimizations. It looks like the kcov instrumentation being added (or in
this case, removed) from a function changes the optimization results,
and some functions marked "inline" are _not_ inlined. In that case,
we end up with __init code calling a function not marked __init, and we
get the build warnings I'm trying to eliminate in the coming patch that
adds __no_sanitize_coverage to __init functions:
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: xbc_exit+0x8 (section: .text.unlikely) -> _xbc_exit (section: .init.text)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: real_mode_size_needed+0x15 (section: .text.unlikely) -> real_mode_blob_end (section: .init.data)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: __set_percpu_decrypted+0x16 (section: .text.unlikely) -> early_set_memory_decrypted (section: .init.text)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: memblock_alloc_from+0x26 (section: .text.unlikely) -> memblock_alloc_try_nid (section: .init.text)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: acpi_arch_set_root_pointer+0xc (section: .text.unlikely) -> x86_init (section: .init.data)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: acpi_arch_get_root_pointer+0x8 (section: .text.unlikely) -> x86_init (section: .init.data)
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: efi_config_table_is_usable+0x16 (section: .text.unlikely) -> xen_efi_config_table_is_usable (section: .init.text)
This problem is somewhat fragile (though using either __always_inline
or __init will deterministically solve it), but we've tripped over
this before with GCC and the solution has usually been to just use
__always_inline and move on.
For x86 this means forcing several functions to be inline with
__always_inline.

If CONFIG_ACPI_SPCR_TABLE is disabled, acpi_parse_spcr()
currently returns 0, which may incorrectly suggest that

The current cxl region size only indicates the size of the CXL memory
region without accounting for the extended linear cache size. Retrieve the
cache size from HMAT and append that to the cxl region size for the cxl
region range that matches the SRAT range that has extended linear cache
enabled.
The SRAT defines the whole memory range that includes the extended linear
cache and the CXL memory region. The new HMAT ECN/ECR to the Memory Side
Cache Information Structure defines the size of the extended linear cache
size and matches to the SRAT Memory Affinity Structure by the memory
proxmity domain. Add a helper to match the cxl range to the SRAT memory
range in order to retrieve the cache size.
There are several places that checks the cxl region range against the
decoder range. Use new helper to check between the two ranges and address
the new cache size.

Move the following sysctl tables into arch/x86/kernel/setup.c:
panic_on_{unrecoverable_nmi,io_nmi}
bootloader_{type,version}
io_delay_type
unknown_nmi_panic
acpi_realmode_flags
Variables moved from include/linux/ to arch/x86/include/asm/ because there
is no longer need for them outside arch/x86/kernel:
acpi_realmode_flags
panic_on_{unrecoverable_nmi,io_nmi}
Include <asm/nmi.h> in arch/s86/kernel/setup.h in order to bring in
panic_on_{io_nmi,unrecovered_nmi}.
This is part of a greater effort to move ctl tables into their
respective subsystems which will reduce the merge conflicts in
kerenel/sysctl.c.

To avoid arch-specific code in general ACPI initialization flow,
introduce a weak symbol acpi_arch_init().
Currently, arm64 and riscv can utillize this to insert their
arch-specific flow.
In the future, other architectures can also have a chance to define
their own arch-specific ACPI initialization process if necessary.

The embedded controller code is mainly used on x86 laptops and cannot
work without PC style I/O port access.
Make this a user-visible configuration option that is default enabled
on x86 but otherwise disabled, and that can never be enabled unless
CONFIG_HAS_IOPORT is also available.
The empty stubs in internal.h help ignore the EC code in configurations
that don't support it. In order to see those stubs, the sbshc code also
has to include this header and drop duplicate declarations.
All the direct callers of ec_read/ec_write already had an x86
dependency and now also need to depend on APCI_EC.

xen: sync elfnote.h from xen tree
xen/pciback: fix cast to restricted pci_ers_result_t and pci_power_t
xen/privcmd: Add new syscall to get gsi from dev
xen/pvh: Setup gsi for passthrough device
xen/pci: Add a function to reset device for xen

In PVH dom0, the gsis don't get registered, but the gsi of
a passthrough device must be configured for it to be able to be
mapped into a domU.
When assigning a device to passthrough, proactively setup the gsi
of the device during that process.
