Enable user space applications to access the PHC state page when
firmware RDMA completion timestamp is supported.
This mapping allows user space to convert RDMA completion timestamps
to system wall time without kernel transitions, minimizing latency
overhead. Applications can directly read the PHC state through mmap,
enabling efficient timestamp correlation for precision timing
applications.

Add a page associated with the PHC that can be mapped to user space,
allowing applications to access hardware timestamp information.
In order to synchronize between kernel and user space, a sequence
number is incremented at the beginning and end of each update.
An odd number means the data is being updated while an even number
means the update is complete. To guarantee that the data structure
was accessed atomically, user space will:
repeat:
seq1 = <read sequence>
goto <repeat> if odd
<read PHC state>
seq2 = <read sequence>
if seq1 != seq2 goto repeat
This mechanism acts as a guard against reading invalid state during
concurrent updates.

Currently, the driver only registers the PTP Hardware Clock (PHC) if
Ethernet hardware timestamping is supported. Update the registration
logic to register the PHC if the device supports either Ethernet

Each CEQ interrupt handler only schedules eqc->tasklet. The tasklet calls
erdma_ceq_completion_handler(), which reads the DMA-coherent EQ ring
through get_next_valid_eqe() and updates eq->dbrec through notify_eq().
erdma_ceqs_uninit() frees each CEQ IRQ and then destroys its EQ.
free_irq() prevents another hard IRQ and waits for an in-flight handler,
but it does not drain a tasklet that the handler already scheduled. The
tasklet can therefore access eq->qbuf or eq->dbrec after
erdma_eq_destroy() frees them.
Clearing ceq_cb->ready does not synchronize with a tasklet that already
passed the check at the start of erdma_ceq_completion_handler().
Kill the tasklet after free_irq(), when no handler can schedule it again,
and before erdma_ceq_uninit_one() releases the EQ buffers.

The cid tables are visible to the cid kfuncs while being modified: the
first enable publishes the global pointers before filling them,
ops.init_cids() overrides rewrite them in place, and re-enables rebuild
them in place. A racing TRACING or SYSCALL program can read unfilled
entries, including uninitialized memory in the kmalloc'd tables, or torn
topo updates.
Tie the tables' lifetimes to the root sched instead: each root enable
builds a fresh set privately and publishes the per-table __rcu globals once
the layout is final, and root disable unpublishes and RCU-frees the set. A
non-NULL global is now always a fully built table which stays valid for the
reader's RCU read section, and lookups stay two loads. Kfuncs treat NULL as
no-mapping, also after the scheduler exits instead of reporting the stale
last mapping.
The cid kfuncs are available whether the root scheduler is cid-form or
cpu-form, the latter to allow gradual migration to cids. Every root
therefore builds and publishes a default mapping.
Every reader must either be gated on scheduler liveness or NULL-check
inside an RCU read section. Fix the two kfuncs that were neither:
scx_bpf_this_cid() read the table with no RCU or preemption protection and
scx_bpf_task_cid() relied on KF_RCU, which doesn't put a sleepable program
in an RCU read section. The hotplug callbacks are instead serialized by
retiring the tables inside the cpus_read_lock() section that clears
scx_root.
v2: Document why every root builds the tables (desc + cid.c comment).

select_task_rq_scx() falls into the default path when the scheduler has no
ops.select_cpu or is bypassing. There it calls scx_select_cpu_dfl() and
direct-dispatches to the picked CPU's local DSQ.
While bypassing, neither does anything: the enqueue path routes the task to
a bypass DSQ before consulting the direct-dispatch target, so the direct
dispatch never happens, and the CPU pick at most shifts which CPU's bypass
DSQ receives the task. Worse, when the scheduler does its own idle tracking,
the built-in idle cpumasks the pick consults are not even updated, so it
doesn't work anyway.
Return prev_cpu without the default selection while bypassing and let the
bypass enqueue place the task.

check_rq_for_timeouts() blames a runnable stall on the task's owner. Under
a sub-scheduler hierarchy the stalled task can be sitting on a DSQ that a
different scheduler has to drain, e.g. an ancestor's bypass DSQ while the
owner is bypassing. The drainer then escapes blame while the owner is
exited, and when the owner's exit is already claimed, nothing actionable is
reported at all.
Blame the DSQ's owning scheduler instead. The local DSQ is consumed by the
cpu itself and keeps blame on the owner. Detection keeps the owner's timeout
and single-scheduler behavior is unchanged.

Per DP 1.4a section 2.2.4.3, the MSA MISC1 VSC_SDP bit signals that
the sink should defer colorimetry to the VSC SDP. It should only be set
when the sink advertises DP_VSC_SDP_EXT_FOR_COLORIMETRY_SUPPORTED and a
VSC SDP with pixel encoding/colorimetry payload will actually be sent.
Fold the colorimetry_support check into intel_dp_needs_vsc_colorimetry()

The intention of the code is to extract the PCCR8_SGMIIa_CFG field out
of the "pccr" value, not to create a new value with the PCCR8_SGMIIa_CFG
field set to the "pccr" value.
Since FIELD_GET() is implemented as ((reg) & (mask)) >> __bf_shf(mask)
and FIELD_PREP() as (val) << __bf_shf(mask)) & (mask) and since "mask"
is GENMASK(2, 0), in practice there is no functional difference between
FIELD_GET() and FIELD_PREP(). But FIELD_GET() is logically the correct
helper.

From PTL onwards, the set context latency can be in the vactive region,
letting the safe window start some lines before the vblank start. The DSB
waits on this safe window instead of vblank (bits [15:14] select the safe
window signal from the DPT unit to start the DMA engine).
With modes that have a smaller vblank region, the computed guardband is
clamped to the vblank length, making the undelayed and delayed vblank
coincide. If the SCL is also 0, the 'safe window' becomes effectively 0,
and the DSB configured to wait for it gets stalled, since the hardware
never signals the safe window, leading to:
*ERROR* [CRTC:159:pipe A] flip_done timed out
*ERROR* [CRTC:159:pipe A] DSB 0 timed out waiting for idle
Keep the set context latency at a minimum of 1 to avoid this.

GPIO 14 on the fio_ioexp (pca9555) controller corresponds to the
PWRGD_RMC_N signal, which is active-low.
The pwrgd-rmc-hog node currently specifies output-low for this GPIO
with GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW flags. Under Linux gpiolib, configuring an
active-low GPIO hog with output-low sets the logical value to inactive
(0), causing the subsystem to drive the physical line high.
Correct the hog configuration to output-high, which sets the logical
value to active (1), driving the physical pin low on boot as intended.

During reset recovery, mt7925_vif_connect_iter() replays firmware state
for links tracked in mvif->valid_links. After MLO link changes or MCU
timeout recovery, the driver bitmap can temporarily contain a link whose
mac80211 bss_conf has already gone away.
This can pass a NULL bss_conf to mt76_connac_mcu_uni_add_dev(), matching
the crash where x1, the second argument, is NULL:

There is a new build failure with MT7996E=m MT76_CORE=y and NET_AIROHA_NPU=m:
ld.lld: error: undefined symbol: airoha_npu_get
ld.lld: error: undefined symbol: airoha_npu_put
>>> referenced by npu.c
>>> drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt76/npu.o:(mt76_npu_init) in archive vmlinux.a
Fix this by reworking the dependency for the MT7996_NPU to only
allow enabling that when mt76_core can link against the npu driver.
To make sure this gets caught more easily in the future when additional
mt76 variants need the same dependency, also turn CONFIG_MT76_NPU into
a tristate symbol that has the same dependency.

mt76_npu_device_active() and mt76_ppe_device_active() read dev->mmio.npu
and dev->mmio.ppe_dev. The mmio, usb and sdio bus structs share a union in
struct mt76_dev, so on USB and SDIO these read unrelated data from the
usb/sdio struct, which is non-NULL in practice.
mt76_npu_device_active() then returns true on USB, and
mt76_rx_poll_complete() takes the offload path and skips
mt76_rx_aggr_reorder(). RX A-MPDU subframes are delivered out of order and
the peer's TCP stack treats that as loss: heavy retransmissions and reduced
throughput in AP mode. Seen on mt7921u, mt7925u, mt76x2u and mt76x0u.
Gate both helpers on mt76_is_mmio() so they only run for the bus type that
owns the mmio union member.

mt7925_sta_set_decap_offload() iterates over the vif valid_links mask
when updating decap offload state for an MLO station. The station may not
have a link STA for every valid link of the vif, so mt792x_sta_to_link()
can return NULL for a link that belongs to the vif but not to the station.
The function currently dereferences mlink before checking whether the

Unloading the mt7915e module with a MT7916 triggers multiples WARN in
__netif_napi_del_locked() and in page_pool_disable_direct_recycling()
because the driver does not disable the napi before destroying it.
This is troublesome since on MT7916 it is required to unload the module
and reinsert it with a different enable_6ghz parameter to change the
frequency. The system generally becomes unstable after reinserting the
module.
Fix it by disabling napi before deleting it. Also, do not delete napi
on WED queues since napi is neither used nor initialized on them.

to file_head for processing. The cifsFileInfo reference and the open
server handle both leak.
Fix by saving the cfile that failed allocation in a local variable,
breaking as before, and calling _cifsFileInfo_put() on it after
releasing the lock. Any files later in the iteration are unaffected
since their deferred work is still pending and will fire normally.

Windows Server's directory enumeration metadata lags behind the actual
file size after a write+close or rename. A concurrent readdir() in the
window between close() returning to userspace and stat() being called
overwrites the correct cached i_size with the stale server value, causing
stat() to return the wrong size.
Once _cifsFileInfo_put() removes the last writable handle from
openFileList, is_size_safe_to_change() permits readdir to overwrite
i_size. smb2_close_getattr() then stamps cifs_i->time = jiffies, making
the corrupt cached value appear fresh to the next stat().
The existing check (see Fixes:) only blocked stale size updates while
an active RW lease was held, not after the last writable handle closes.
Add cifsInodeInfo->time_last_write, written via smp_store_release() at
writable close and on setattr/truncate. is_size_safe_to_change() checks
is_inode_writable() first (acquiring open_file_lock), then rejects a
readdir size update if time_last_write falls within acregmax jiffies.
The spinlock release in _cifsFileInfo_put() forms a store-release barrier
that pairs with the spin_lock() (load-acquire) in is_inode_writable(),
ensuring the subsequent smp_load_acquire() on time_last_write observes
any update from a concurrent close(). When a size update is rejected and
the server value differs from the cached one, cifs_i->time is cleared to
force a fresh QUERY_INFO on the next stat().
readdir is also blocked from changing i_size while writable handles are
open or an RW lease is held, even on direct-IO mounts.
For deferred close (closetimeo > 0), time_last_write is refreshed at the
actual server close in smb2_deferred_work_close() and in the
cifs_close_deferred_file*() drain paths invoked by lease/oplock breaks
and tcon teardown, anchoring the protection window to the real close time
rather than the earlier userspace close.
time_last_write == 0 skips the time_before() check to avoid false
positives near boot on 32-bit systems where jiffies starts close to
INITIAL_JIFFIES.
Does not reproduce against Samba or with actimeo=0.

intel_mac_finish() is registered as the phylink mac_finish()
callback for the Elkhart Lake SGMII ports. phylink calls it at
the end of every major link reconfiguration, including the
initial one during probe.
The callback selects the PMC ModPHY LCPLL programming for the
requested MAC-side interface and then power-cycles the SerDes.
On Elkhart Lake that ModPHY is also used by the on-die AHCI
SATA PHY. Reapplying the programming during the initial
boot-time link-up disturbs the shared analog block while it is
still driving SATA, so the SATA link fails to train:
ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 1 SControl 300)
The disk carrying the root filesystem is never detected and the
system hangs at rootwait. Ethernet itself comes up normally,
which makes the failure look unrelated to the network driver.
Before mac_finish() runs, the legacy SerDes power-up path has
already programmed SERDES_GCR0 for the current interface. The
1G and 2.5G ModPHY tables selected by mac_finish() correspond
to the SerDes lane rate, so read that rate back from SERDES_GCR0
and skip the PMC reprogramming and SerDes power-cycle when it
already matches the selected interface.
This keeps the disruptive reprogramming out of the boot path
when the SerDes is configured correctly, while preserving the
previous behavior when a real SGMII/1000BASE-X to 2500BASE-X
rate change is needed. If the register read fails, reconfigure
as before.
